Being pregnant in 1973 was different.

This was taken just before a Christmas party we had for the Ted's division. I was making rum balls, I was 6 months pregnant. We were living on Guam and life was one big party, no tv, no radio, well not totally, there was one, a military station that went off the air at sunset came back on the air at sunrise, same for tv, one station came on about noon, went off by sunset and everything, including the news, was 2 weeks old, so back then on Guam you partied and you got pregnant, it was one of the best duty stations we had.

Where did the time go?

So I have started the daunting task of organizing boxes of pictures. Today I opened a shoe box that had a mixture of family pics. Two that made me laugh and shake my head at the passing of time.
This one is Ted about 1976 on his first deployment, he had been in the Navy for about 6 years, but was in Nuc. school for the first 3 years and then we were on Guam for 2 years, so it wasn't until 1976 that he got his sea legs.

Then this one of me. This is about 1973, right after we got to Guam, don't remember if I was officially pregnant or not with Dan in this one, by that I mean, don't know if I knew yet.
